About Hammond Boxing Club
Centered On The Community's Spirit Of Endurance and Common Good
Founded in 2009 by lifelong friends Dennis Hardesty and Jack Callahan, Hammond Boxing Club is a nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization rooted in the Hammond community. From the beginning, our goal has been to promote boxing as a means to improve physical fitness and as a powerful tool for personal development for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
Our club began with a simple vision, to provide a supportive space where individuals could develop their physical fitness, enhance their confidence, and engage in a sport that challenges them mentally and physically.
Over the years, we have grown into a well-respected institution in Hammond, known for our vibrant community spirit, and a commitment to excellence. Become a part of HBC today, and experience the transformative power of boxing.
Our Mission
At Hammond Boxing Club, we are dedicated to teaching the art and discipline of boxing. We believe that the sport offers a unique blend of physical challenge and mental preparation that can help individuals excel both in and outside the ring. Our mission is to provide boxing training and educational opportunities that empower our members to achieve their personal and athletic goals. We strive to create a positive, inclusive community where everyone feels welcome and supported.
Our Impact
Beyond the physical training, we aim to instill in our members the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance. Our community outreach programs and sponsorship opportunities help to ensure that everyone, regardless of their economic background, has the opportunity to train at our facility. The impact of HBC reaches far beyond the boxing ring. We have seen our members grow in confidence, develop leadership skills, and become active and engaged citizens in their communities.
